Exerting a simplistically perfect sound, already tapped by some of the world’s biggest artists, Silver Sneakerz are one of Brisbane’s greatest musical exports and one of the hottest break through dance acts in the country. With a discography that reads like a music conference roll call, Habebe and Benny Electric recreate a progressive-techy-big-room sound which must be heard to believe.
Already billed alongside the who-is-who of the international dj music crop, luminaries like Laidback Luke, Steve Angello, Axwell, Roger Sanchez and Pete Tong have all heard and had the sounds of the Sneakerz’ feature in their sets. Taking it to the clubs each week, the duo have also rocked stages at Creamfields, Parklife and Splendour In The Grass!
With their latest productions already pricking the ears of labels across the world, and some huge collaborations in the works, Silver Sneakers are set to take over in 2012. Recently jumping into the studio, the duo have teamed up with Noiseworks' original front man Jon Stevens to re-work an iconic 90's rock anthem 'Touch' into a synthesised club smash! Set for release in June, the signature piano riff and lush strings of the iconic original are modernised with a tasteful electronic undertow; with massive leads and drum machines sequenced to create one of the best rock-revivals of the millennium.
