The Only ink label deal with Ministry of Sound & sign to Soapbox Artists
1-24-2012

They’re undoubtedly one of the hottest electronic acts in the country, and after two anthemic singles, a string of festival appearances, and a swag of remixes for dance music illuminati, The Only have just inked a label deal with Ministry of Sound Australia which now sees the production powerhouse joining the Soapbox Artist roster.
The dons of all things rave, swear and noise, The Only, exploded onto the electronic music scene in 2010 with their debut single ‘The Only F*cking Rave Party’ breaking the top 50 on the Aria Singles Chart, and claiming the Number 1 position on both the Australian Independent Music and Dance Singles Charts. Last year the duo’s recent concoction of dancefloor debauchery ‘(River Phoenix) The Hollywood Anthem’ saw them enlist iconic alternative rockers T.I.S.M. for a 6-week stint in the Aria Club Chart Top 10, and in 2012 their soon to be released single ‘Drag Me Down’ showcases The Only’s production wizardry and is destined to become one of the years universally large late-night wax weapons that reverberates from the speakers of clubs around the world.
Having already mixed a compilation for Ministry of Sound (Electro House Sessions 3), holding a remixography which reads like an A-List roll-call, with tracks from Dizzie Rascal, Armand Van Helden, The Subs, Lazerkradt 3D, Drop The Lime, GTronic, and Mighty Fools all receiving The Only treatment, and main-stage appearances at Big Day Out, Splendour In The Grass, Field Day, Groovin The Moo and Foreshore Festival, there is no hotter property in dance music right now.
